I volunteered to go to Kurdistan and teach refugee women (especially widows) how to sew -- a skill which they could use for their personal needs, as well as a marketable tool to help them make a living. We were received with open arms by the Bring Hope team who facilitated all our projects, and made sure we were kept safe at all times.
The readiness of the women to learn encouraged us to return again. I felt that I had made a difference in their lives, and in return was rewarded from the experience. I urge others to support Bring Hope in their efforts to improve the lives of people in need.
